KantonQuest is made by one independent developer in Switzerland. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the iOS app only.

1. Short summary

• You do not need an account to use KantonQuest.
• Your collection is stored on your device only.
• Your location is only checked when you press the button to collect a canton. There is no background tracking.
• Pictures you create in the app stay on your device unless you share them yourself.
• Analytics and crash reports are off by default and only start if you accept them.
• Feedback you send does reach us, together with basic device information.
• Some links in the app are affiliate links.

1. What the app collects, and why

a) Location (only on demand) To collect a canton, the app needs to know which canton you are in.

• When: only when you press the collect button.
• How: your coordinates are turned into a canton name on your device, using Apple's map services. Apple may process this request on its servers as part of that service.
• Storage: we do not store your coordinates on our servers and we do not sell location data.
• Permission: "While Using the App". The app does not use background location.

b) Your collection (on your device) Which cantons and places you have collected, and the dates, are saved on your device only. We keep no copy and no backup on our servers.

• Deleting: removing the app deletes this data.
